Also located on Wellington Road just a few yards away from The Town Fryer is Les & Rita’s Fish Bar. This is another very traditional fish & chip shop which has been owned by Les and Rita Pidduck since 1968. Both founders are now semi-retired, but they have passed down their winning formula which has helped to ensure that the restaurant remains a firm favourite with locals.
There are plenty of tables if you want to dine in the restaurant, but the long queues that form at the door tell you everything you need to know about your chances of securing your desired seating in addition to providing some evidence about the quality of fish & chips that are on offer.
3. Aslan’s Fish and Chips
Aslan’s is nowhere near as well established as the other fish & chip restaurants we have referenced so far, but it is quickly establishing itself as one of the most popular fast food outlets in the region.

Located less than 1 mile away from Marine Holiday Park is Tony’s Fish & Chip shop, another takeaway restaurant where the exterior appearance really does undersell the quality of the meals provided.
Not only is the food top class, but the staff are also incredibly welcoming and accommodating. If you aren’t in the mood for fish & chips, then there is a wide selection of other classics to consider including their home cooked chicken curry which is highly recommended.
5. The Fish & Chip Shop
A slightly newer addition to the Rhyl chip shop scene is the aptly named ‘The Fish & Chip Shop’ on Grange Road less than a mile away from Marine Holiday Park.
Everything about this new takeaway underlines that it is a far more contemporary offering, setting it apart from some of the more traditional fish & chips shops in Rhyl that we’ve already featured on this list. From its modern logo to its menu which takes full account of dietary requirements, with gluten free options available, this is a fish & chip shop designed for the 21st century.
While there isn’t any available seating inside the eatery, the short distance to Marine means you can simply take your meals back to enjoy in the comfort of your accommodation.
